Dr. Daniel Maghen was born and raised in Los Angeles, and he is delighted to serve his community as a physician. He completed his medical degree at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology Faculty of Medicine in Haifa, Israel, one of the world's leading medical institutions, before returning to the United States to complete his pediatric residency at NYU Langone Hospital Long Island from 2018 to 2021. He then started his career working for the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group in Beverly Hills, and later in private practice before founding Maghen Pediatrics, a practice built entirely around the kind of care he always believed families deserved.
Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Maghen brings both extensive experience and genuine warmth to every visit. He approaches each appointment as a conversation — one that is always centered on your child and your family.
He takes particular pride in walking alongside new parents through the earliest and most formative years of a child's life. From the first prenatal visit through those sleepless newborn nights, the first steps, the first words, and every well visit in between, Dr. Maghen considers it one of the great privileges of his work to help parents feel confident, informed, and supported as their child grows and thrives. There is nothing quite like watching a child flourish, and he never loses sight of that.
Dr. Maghen has a particular passion for ADHD care and adolescent mental health. He understands that these are areas where families often feel overwhelmed, underheard, and passed from one specialist to the next without anyone taking the time to truly listen. That changes at Maghen Pediatrics. Dr. Maghen takes the time to understand your child as a whole person — their school life, their relationships, their struggles, and their strengths — and builds a plan that actually fits your family.
As a new father himself, Dr. Maghen does not just understand the joy and exhaustion of parenting in theory; he has lived it. That experience shapes every interaction in the exam room in ways no textbook ever could.
Outside the office, Dr. Maghen can be found engaging with his community, spending time with his incredible wife and daughter, and debating fantasy football with anyone willing to engage. He is fluent in English, Farsi, and Hebrew, and welcomes families from all backgrounds.
When you bring your child to Maghen Pediatrics, you are not just getting a physician. You are getting someone who genuinely gets it — and who will be there, every step of the way.
Whether you're expecting your first child or looking for a new pediatrician for your growing family, we have space for you.
